Talking with Joe Binford [Interview]

"SW:  Your workshop is called Directing with an Editor's Eye. Can you tell us what that means?  
JB:  If people want to understand what motion picture making is really about then they have to understand editing. So directing with an editor's eye is taking the perception of directing knowing exactly how you are going to edit and we will discuss the tricks of the trade, what makes a good edit, what makes a good direction, what makes a good performance - there are all little things we do in the editing room so that's it in a nutshell."
